Committe & Panel

Committees play a pivotal role in the effective functioning of a federation, serving as a cornerstone in ensuring its seamless operation. They constitute a critical component that facilitates the cohesive and organized execution of various tasks within the federation. Committees contribute significantly to the overall governance structure, providing a platform for thorough deliberations, informed decision-making, and the implementation of strategic initiatives.

Mission Child to Champion was officially launched by the YOTI Foundation during the AAINBALL International Conference 2025, held on 30 October 2025 at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gujarat. As an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, RRU provided a prestigious national platform for the launch of this transformative grassroots sports initiative.

The conference convened international sports leaders, policymakers, researchers, educators, athletes, and institutional representatives to deliberate on key themes including grassroots sports development, sports governance, physical literacy, mental health, Olympic values, and cultural exchange. The insights and recommendations emerging from these discussions laid the foundation for the Mission Child to Champion initiative.

Mission Child to Champion aims to create a sustainable grassroots sports ecosystem by aligning with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Sports Policy (NSP) 2025. The initiative focuses on empowering educators, Anganwadi workers, and community coaches; identifying and nurturing sporting talent from an early age; promoting physical literacy, fitness, and holistic child development; strengthening community health; and fostering research, innovation, and ethical sports governance through strategic Public–Private Partnerships (PPP).

Composition, representation and chairman

The chairman and vice-chairman of each expert panel are appointed by the Executive Committee. In the absence of the chairman or in the event that he is not entitled to participate in a meeting or part of a meeting due to a conflict of interest, the vice-chairman replaces him. If, for any of the same reasons, the vice-chairman cannot replace the chairman, the members present appoint an ad hoc chairman at the beginning of the meeting. The chairman reports regularly on the work of the panel to the chairman of the committee(s) that the panel is supporting.
